Greatest Strength
Shane’s strengths lie in his stoicism, exceptional communication skills, and steadfast dedication. He remains calm under pressure, approaches challenges with clarity and logic, and is deeply committed to fostering open and meaningful conversations. His ability to stay resolute in the face of adversity makes him a trusted leader and advocate in the mental health field.
“Suicide prevention is near and dear to my heart. As a person with lived experience, I use my knowledge to help individuals who struggle with life’s obstacles and help them realize that these struggles are temporary and can be overcome. Impacting as little as one individual means I have made a difference and, to me, that is an invaluable experience.”

For Shane, joining School Care Team is an exciting opportunity to be part of an organization that genuinely makes a difference. He is inspired by the collaborative spirit of a team that shares a common vision—building a supportive, proactive, and impactful network for students and educators alike. Shane believes that when like-minded individuals come together with a shared purpose, extraordinary change is possible.
Superpower of choice
If Shane could choose a superpower, he would align himself with Batman—not for his supernatural abilities, but for his unwavering determination, intelligence, and resilience. Like Batman, Shane believes that greatness is not about having inherent powers but about using one's skills, knowledge, and perseverance to overcome challenges and inspire change. While not everyone is born into a Bruce Wayne-sized trust fund, Batman exemplifies the idea that anyone can make a meaningful impact—one decision, one action, and one moment at a time.
